Replenishment

The replenishment report lists every primary location (in any zone) that is below its Max, shows how fast the SKU sells and how much is sitting in bulk, and lets you turn a selection into a move list in one click.

Two ways pick bins get refilled

Automatic (with a wave)Planned (this page)
WhenAt wave creation, only for the SKUs the wave needs and only for the shortfall.Whenever it is needed: when the report shows pick bins running low, or before a big wave.
How muchEnough for the wave, rounded to cartons.Enough to fill the bin to Max, rounded to cartons, capped by what bulk has.
OutputAn auto-move named after the wave.An auto-move named RM… (replenishment move).
PurposeKeep the wave pickable.Keep bins full so waves rarely need the automatic kind, and spot bins that are too small.

Both produce the same kind of move list, printed and completed from the Waves page.

What the report shows

One row per primary location (active, with a SKU) whose on hand is below its Max, plus primaries with no Max at all so the gap is visible. Bins that are full are not shown.

ColumnMeaning
LocationThe primary pick bin.
SKU, GroupClick the SKU to open it on the Inventory page.
On HandTotal on hand across all active locations. Hover for the split between the primary and everywhere else. Red when the primary is at or below Min.
AllocAllocated to waves at the primary.
Min, MaxThe location's thresholds. Click Max to edit (see below). Red Max means none is set.
Fill %Primary on hand ÷ Max.
DemandUnits ordered in the demand window (30, 60 or 90 days; the header says which).
DaysDays of supply: available in the primary ÷ daily demand rate. Red under 7. A dash means no demand in the window.
BulkUnallocated units in active bulk locations (outside zone 01, not this primary itself). What can be moved.
SuggestedMax − primary on hand, rounded up to the group quantity or a master carton (if it fits within 30% over Max), capped at Bulk.
Move QtyWhat will move if you generate. Equals Suggested unless you type an override.
Rec MaxRecommended Max: daily demand rate × coverage days, rounded up to a carton multiple. Red and bold when it is above the current Max.
FlagsNo Max, No Bulk, Undersized (Rec Max above Max), and the name of any incomplete auto-move already heading for this bin.

Worked example

Location SKU On Hand Alloc Min Max Fill% 30d Demand Days Bulk Suggested Rec Max 01A01 GB-PRO-DZ 226 4 6 24 42% 180 1.0 216 18 48 Undersized

The primary holds 10 of its 24 (fill 42%), 4 of those already allocated; 216 more sit in bulk. Thirty days of demand is 180, six a day, so the 6 available in the bin cover about one day. Max − on hand is 14. A whole master carton of 24 would take the bin to 34, more than 30% over its Max of 24, so Lodsted rounds to the group quantity instead: 14 rounds up to 18, which fits. Suggested is 18. With coverage set to 5 days, Rec Max is 6 × 5 = 30, rounded up to the carton of 24 gives 48: the bin is undersized for how this SKU sells.

Settings on the page

  • Demand window: 30d, 60d or 90d. Changes the Demand, Days and Rec Max columns. Remembered per browser.
  • Cov (coverage days): how many days of demand a primary should hold. Drives Rec Max. Remembered per browser.
  • Filters: search (SKU, group, location), Groups, Days ≤, Fill% ≤, Has Bulk, Undersized. Reset clears the filters and reloads; it does not touch the two settings above.

Generating a move

  1. Select rows

Check the rows to refill, or the header checkbox for every selectable row on screen. A row cannot be selected when it has no Max or no bulk stock; the tooltip says which. Selections survive filter and sort changes; the header counts selected rows and units, and warns if some are hidden by the current filter.

  2. Adjust quantities

When a row is selected its Move Qty becomes editable. Overrides are taken literally (no carton rounding) and capped at the bulk quantity.

  3. Generate Move

The confirmation lists SKU, destination and quantity. On Generate, stock moves in the system immediately and an auto-move named RM… is created. Warnings (for example a bin that could only be partly filled) are shown as toasts.

  4. Print and move

Go to the Waves page, find the RM row, Print, carry the stock, then Complete. If a move cannot be done, Undo puts the stock back in bulk in the system.

The system moves first

From the moment you generate, Lodsted believes the stock is in the pick bin. A wave created before the physical move will send pickers to a bin that is still empty. Generate, move, then wave.

Editing from the report

The pencil next to Max opens a small editor for the row: the location's Min and Max (with a one-click Rec button to apply the recommended Max), and the product's group, dimensions, group quantity, master carton and hazmat flag. Cost and description are edited on the Inventory page; weight and the active and shippable flags come from Shopify and are re-set at each product sync.

Setting Max values well

  • Start from what physically fits in the bin.
  • Use the Undersized filter after a few weeks of orders. Rows there sell faster than the bin can hold for your coverage days; either enlarge the bin and raise Max, or accept more frequent moves.
  • Set Min to the point where you want the red warning, typically one day of demand.
  • For SKUs that come in cases, set the product's master carton so moves are whole cases and Rec Max lands on a case multiple.
